A Critical Study on the Novel "The Two Sheikhs" by Taha Hussein

Abstract

This article has been taken from the famous novel ‘‘التجان’’ which is written by Dr. Taha Hussain who is considered a pillar and eminent critic of Arabic Literature. In this book, a through study has been made or Taha Hussain’s thoughts and opinions about the ‘‘شیحن’’. In it a criticism is made on different opinions by comparing the sayings of many Muslim Historians. The writer adopts the method if decart who believes that ruspicion is necessary in everything to find true belief exort the Holy Quran and the “Sunnah” of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him). In this novel, the writer has mentioned those historical events which have never he written byany writer before this. The reader is astorisbed to read the suspicious things about the event of the novel which were considered competent in the previous writers.
