Trends in the understanding and interpretation of Sufism and the main References of the subcontinent

Abstract

The sub-continent is a region in which Islam was propagated by the Sufis. The Sufis taught love, peace, good behavior, ethics, tolerance, and tolerance in this area, which greatly affected the people living here. They started entering the circle of Islam. The life of the Sufis was completely in accordance with the Prophet. And it could not be that the people were not influenced by them. The Sufis have made their place in such a big country and different religions. The Sufis did not react in such a way that any opposition arose, rather they influenced people with their good morals. Thus, a permanent system was established in the subcontinent, which is called the Hanqahi system. In which the education and training of individuals was arranged, Tariqat and Shariat were taught together. This tradition of Sufism, which started here immediately after the beginning of Islam, continues to this day. But with the passage of time, various changes were made in it, its rules and regulations changed, people started believing and acting on manifestation instead of teachings. Then, in these circumstances, people started criticizing and questioning it, and the problems within the people regarding Sufism increased, and this research paper has been presented to examine them.
